Summary
The Senior Analyst will be an expert in Ask.com traffic and revenue metrics. They will forecast traffic and revenue. Additionally they will monitor, analyze and publish results to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Study Ask.com site, traffic, activity and revenue statistics; recognize changes in trends that require immediate action
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly trend and variance analyses of traffic and revenue
  • Understand and deliver clear verbal and written explanations of performance metrics to senior management
  • Develop strong understanding of traffic drivers and advertising revenue streams. Apply this knowledge to accurately predict revenue on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis
  • Lead the revenue planning process for multiple sites and channels. Report, explain and defend the revenue forecast and underlying assumptions with precision
  • Act as a liaison between the Revenue and Analysis team with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams, assisting with range of operating issues

Required Experience

  • 3+ years experience in an analytical role
  • Experience managing complicated forecast models
  • Experience in internet advertising, internet search, e-commerce or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Economics, Statistics, etc.)

Technical Requirements

  • Demonstrated forecasting and analytical skills
  • Understanding of internet and search and search engine marketing business models
  • Past experience with web reporting technologies & site reporting tools
  • Ability to integrate multiple streams of data into coherent models
  • Expert in SQL or Statistical Software
  • Tableau Certified a plus
  • Expert in Excel, proficient in Word and PowerPoint

The Role:
This is an opportunity to support and shape the HR function at Ask.com (and our portfolio companies) in Europe and will report to the VP of HR at Ask.com.

  • Support the human resources function for Ask.com which includes employees in Latvia, Sweden and Denmark.
  • Management experience in running an HR processes
  • Work closely with the our VP of HR and the executive management team to help drive the people agenda of the organization
  • Create HR policies and process development
  • Provide HR support and advice to the management team  and employees
  • Identify people-related solutions to support the achievement of the business objectives and help improve organizational performance
  • Partner with our payroll/compensation manager to support their function
  • Manage and oversee immigration process (work visas, greencard, applications/petitions)
  • Drive the performance management and employee review process to help support the business
  • Identify and put in place learning and development plans for all employees
  • Support recruiting and hiring of employees, including management of agencies while identifying retention/attrition issues
  • Sense of urgency, energy, enthusiasm and can build trust with teams

Your Skills:

  • 4-8 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist in a professional environment, working closely with executive management
  • 2+ years as an HR Manager (or other management experience)
  • Experience recruiting people for a high performing company
  • Advanced communication skills, including proven interaction with all organizational levels

Summary Description
The VP of Business Analysis and Planning will oversee business planning and reporting across IMG which include Ask.com, About.com, Investopedia and Urbanspoon among others. In this hands-on roll, they will collect and analyze performance information across IMG in order to surface trends and insights to IMG’s executive team and IAC corporate. They will institutionalize robust methodologies which lead to precision and accuracy of business metrics (including traffic and revenue). As a key member of IMG’s executive team they will rationalize investments and develop strategies to grow profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical thought leadership, and ensure the use of robust methodologies by business units
  • Review and validate business plans and associated financial forecasts from each business unit to ensure reliable and accountable planning
  • Develop and deploy an approach to monitor business KPIs across operating businesses to identify emerging trends and provide insights about the drivers of performance
  • Design, implement and track KPI to measure performance against strategic goals and objectives
  • Perform ad hoc analysis in support of critical and responsible investment decisions across IMG

The Role
The Sr. Director of Strategic Analytics will partner with the COO to cultivate a data-driven culture, rationalize investments and develop strategies to grow profitability.
