This is a contract recruiter role, full-cycle recruiting role that will support all facets of Ask.com and the companies that it operates. We’re looking for someone who creates and drives their own process, goes the extra mile, and is always seeking new and innovative ways to bring in top talent. Our ideal candidate will be high energy, highly motivated, dynamic, and self directed. This candidate should also be comfortable recruiting for multiple markets (i.e. San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York and Canada).

Your Task
As new positions are opened, meet with hiring managers to develop a complete understanding of the role and its needs. Develop an appropriate strategy with the hiring manager for attracting the right candidates to the role.

  • Possess a wide range of experience on current external recruiting policies, practices and trends. Develop creative sourcing solutions for filling difficult positions.
  • Maintain applicant-tracking database for reporting purposes and keeping manager apprised of recruiting activity.
  • Work with hiring manager and HR Benefits department to develop competitive offers. Evaluate skill level, manage offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendations, offer letter generation and offer acceptance/declines.
  • Negotiate offers by partnering with hiring manager, senior management, and other groups as necessary.
  • Prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently.

Your Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience with 1+ years proven recruiting experience in a corporate environment with varying requisition loads.
  • Experience managing requirements that are both technical and non-technical
    • Technical: Common roles – Java Developers, Front-end, Mobile, Big Data (Hadoop), Engineering Managers/Directors, QA Engineers, Build/Release, Network Engineers, Application Support Engineers
    • Non-Technical: Performance Marketing (SEO and SEM), Web Analytics, Statistical Analytics, Finance (FP&A, Accounting), Editorial/Writing, Sales, UI/UX, Project Managers
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Can manage requirements volume anywhere from 10-20+ roles at any given time
  • Passion for and dedication to improving the candidate experience
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system (ATS) such as Jobvite, JobScore or similar
  • Experience working with job board tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, StackOverflow, Dice
  • Ability to identify and source talents through non-traditional methods
  • Some capacity in providing presentations, training or moderating a meeting (communication, organization, and prioritization skills are key)

The Role
The Tableau Specialist – Business Intelligence Products works in close coordination with stakeholders to ensure that the Tableau needs of business our met. The person in this role must have the experience to function as the subject matter expert for all Tableau related matters, including but not limited to – Tableau desktop and server, Tableau report and dashboard optimization, Tableau data connections, Tableau administration.  The role requires someone who understands that a business intelligence offering is, in large part, evaluated based on its ability to provide data in an easy to use and rapid manner. Standard measures, reports and dashboards should return in seconds, not minutes, and business stakeholders should, once trained, be self sufficient in accessing the data they need to manage the business.  Ultimately, the person in this role serves as an advocate for business users, and takes pride in the fact that the platform they develop and support provides rapid access to business critical data in a way that enables meaningful reporting, dashboards and visualizations.

  • Possess the Tableau skills to join an organization and immediately contribute value in the areas of: optimizing Tableau reports (desktop and server); administering a Tableau environment

Your Specific Tasks (including but not limited to)

  • Tableau report optimization – You define the best practices for Tableau desktop and server report creation. You work with the power users and business stakeholders to train them in using Tableau to build high performance reports. You review widely used reports and optimize the work of others to provide reports that return within seconds. Any optimizations you apply are then reviewed with report creators for continual learning.
  • Tableau training – You create, maintain and conduct all Tableau training (desktop and server.) This includes basic training required prior to providing users with access to Tableau and advanced continual training. You set the standards and cadence for training and will document and report on the progress of training.
  • Tableau administration and maintenance – You are the subject matter expert for Tableau administration and maintenance. You keep up-to-date with Tableau and are responsible for making sure our Tableau implementation is highly functional and utilizing the best available options for our needs. You maintain the licensing, provide users with access, monitor and report on usage. You are responsible for ensuring that our Tableau environment is highly functional and available.
  • Tableau data connections – You are responsible for ensuring that our organization is able to connect to any desired data source via Tableau. You are a subject matter expert on the drivers necessary for these connections and you will facilitate the installation of these drivers for all end users.

Your Skills

  • Expert level Tableau experience, in both report creation/optimization and administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, MIS, Programming, Statistics, Economics, etc.)
  • Expertise in SQL or similar query language
  • Familiarity with diverse data collection, ETL, database technologies and attached services
  • Experience connecting and building and publishing and managing report dashboards leveraging Tableau or similar data visualization software
  • Extensive use  of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

The Role
The Sr. Director of Strategic Analytics will partner with the COO to cultivate a data-driven culture, rationalize investments and develop strategies to grow profitability.   • Provide analytical thought leadership, and ensure the use of robust methodologies by business unit analysts
