Use your web browser or the application interface

Desktop Search - Tray Icon ScreenshotYou can search your desktop with either your browser or using the Ask.com Desktop Search interface . Both interfaces will return the same results with any search. However, the application interface gives you more control over the layout of your search results, as well as more powerful file previews.

Simpy use whichever interface makes more sense for you. For example, if you need to quickly upload a photo from your desktop into MyStuff for your online photo album, it is easier to enter the search in the Ask.com Toolbar in you browser. Select "Search Computer" in the toolbar search menu and click Save next to the images you want to upload. All without leaving your browser.

You can also change default interface at any time by clicking on the Ask.com icon in the windows icon tray (see right).
